Rumoured high-spec HTC smartphone could be a Desire
Rumours about a new, super-high spec smartphone from HTC are heating up, and it’s looking increasingly likely they aren’t referring to the HTC One M9.
With the HTC One M9 likely to be unveiled later this month at Mobile World Congress, it was widely believed that the specs for the HTC A55 were for HTC’s upcoming update to its flagship smartphone.
However, it’s looking increasingly likely that the rumoured high-end smartphone will actually be the next handset in HTC’s Desire line up.
According to the latest rumour, the HTC A55 will come with a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor running at 2GHz, 3GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch WQHD (2,560 x 1,440) display. They were published by@upleaks, who is rapidly taking the place of@evleaks.
Other specifications rumoured to be making their way into the HTC A55 are a 20 megapixel rear facing camera with an LED flash, while the front facing camera will have a minimum of a 13 megapixel sensor.
In addition, it is claimed the HTC A55 will come with 32GB of storage, BoomSound speakers, Bluetooth 4.1 and Android 5.0. As for the battery, it’s currently unclear how large it will be, but according to upleaks, it will be “less than†3,000mAh.
As for when we’ll find out about it – well, apparently it will be this month, but not at Mobile World Congress. That suggests that we’ll see it within the next two weeks.
